Fear (Part 1 of 3) – Network Marketing Training

 

Have you ever experienced fear when approaching building your network marketing business? I would guess you have..

This is the first of a 3 part video series that i’m doing about fear. In this first video I share with you some of these ideas:

Lets stop and acknowledge that fear’s original purpose has been to serve us. There are many instances in the history of the human species where fear has kept us alive. Even if you think about your life I’m sure you can think of a time where fear served you or someone you love.

With that being said, 95 percent of our fears in network marketing (and really just in life) are simply irrational thoughts about an action that if we took, would actually greatly serve us. 

The reason that we are afraid of an outcome in the first place is because there is an alternative outcome that we want. We get so attached to the outcomes that we want, that start to invent possible things that could go wrong. By doing that we often attract exactly what we DON’T want. How silly of us little humans. We are far more powerful than we realize!

Do you remember being a kid and seeing weird shadows or hearing strange sounds in the dark at night? I remember vividly KNOWING that there were monsters in my room. Then when my parents came in and flipped on the lights, I realized that there was nothing to be afraid of. Well I want to help you FLIP ON THE LIGHTS to see the reality of your fears. When you overcome your fears, no matter what the result is, you will realize that it was nothing to be afraid of. In fact I truly believe that you’ll find that everything that you want is on the other side of your fears!

So when you approach building your business and find a fear of being rejected by people that you prospect, I invite you to shine a light on that fear. Instead of resisting that fear, go in and take a closer look. When you shine a light on it you’re probably more afraid of the emotion of humiliation. Now first of all, you get to choose in any instance if you feel humiliation or not. No ones choices or responses to what you offer can force you to feel ANYTHING!

But even if you do feel humiliated and rejected. What does that really mean? What does it really mean?! NOTHING!

You probably have some irrational fear about what YOU think it would mean, but it really doesn’t mean anything.

In the next two video trainings we’re going to explore why people make excuses out of fear and how to overcome your fears.
