Your Prospects Will Love This Follow up Approach
We have all heard and understand that in network marketing the fortune is in the follow up. But what does that really mean for you?
First, understand that the average person will take 4-6 exposures to what you’re offering before they take action. That average is cited my Eric Worre in his book Go Pro. But I’ve seen people take 10, 11 or even 12 or more exposures before they decide to join. That’s a lot of follow-up!
The first lesson is don’t invite people to learn in a presentation or one on one, and then Expect them to be a raving fan or not interested right off the bat. It’s just not usually that black-and-white!
So now that we’re reminded of the importance of follow-up, let’s talk about HOW you can follow up effectively in a way that has your prospects feeling grateful for you instead of annoyed by you. Doesn’t that sound fantastic?
I’m sure you have felt that anxiety or fear about following up with your prospects. Where does it come from? Well it comes from you feeling like you’re going to be interrupting someone’s day when they don’t expecte it, about something they might not be truly interested in. Right?!
The trick to avoiding this type of experience is to tell people when you’re with them, let’s say in a class or presentation of some kind, that you’re going to follow up with them. Right there in that current exposure to what you’re offering, is the very best time to schedule the next exposure. So ask them if you can connect with them at a future date and specific time.
When you do this, you following through and following up with them is just doing what you said you were going to do. If you schedule these follow-ups in advance with people, they will actually feel dissapointed in you if you don’t follow up! AND they will feel loved and remembered when you do!
Hope this idea was beneficial for you. If it was let me know in the comments below!
